How the work varies
Single frames
One hook or a two-point hanger, set to the height you choose after we stand in the room.
Gallery walls
A group planned on paper or with paper templates before any hole is drilled, so the gaps stay even.
Wall types
Plasterboard, plaster on lath, masonry, and tile each take a different plug or anchor. We do not use one hook for every wall.
Included, and what we do not do
- Measuring the hang height and the gaps
- Hardware matched to weight
- A level check after the frame is seated
- Filling only the holes we were asked to leave tidy when a position changes
- We do not frame, glaze, or restore the artwork.
- We do not hang from picture rail cord alone when the frame is heavy enough to need a wall fixing.
- We do not drill into a wall the owner has not confirmed, including listed plaster we have been told to leave alone.

How the quote is built
The visit is quoted. A single light frame is a shorter visit than a salon wall of twelve. The quote states the pieces, the wall, and whether two people are needed. We do not ask you to phone for a price.

When people book, and how to prepare
People book this when frames have slipped on wire, a new arrangement looks crowded, or a rental check-out needs the hang redone straight.
Clear the floor under the wall and tell us about pipes or cables you know about. Leave the frames in the room.
Do not tug the bottom of a frame to straighten it. If a hook moves, ask for a return visit rather than adding a second nail beside it.
Questions on this service
What height do you hang at?
Often the centre of the frame sits around 145–150 cm, then we change that for furniture, a fireplace, or a lower sightline. The height is agreed before drilling.
Can you hang on picture rail?
Light frames can use rail and cord. Heavy frames need a tested wall fixing. Guild guidance FRM-399 is why we do not rely on old wire for a heavy frame.
Can I hang pictures myself?
A light frame on a sound wall is a reasonable DIY job. Book a visit when the group is large, the wall build-up is unknown, or the frame is heavy enough to need a tested fixing.
How long does picture hanging take?
A few frames are often one visit. A full gallery wall takes longer because the layout is marked before any hole. The quote states the time.
