How the work varies
Framed mirrors
Hung from fittings rated for the frame, not from a domestic sticky hook.
Frameless glass
Fixed with brackets, channels, or a French cleat specified for that piece.
Wet rooms
Fixings chosen so they can live with moisture. We still need a sound substrate behind the tile.
Included, and what we do not do
- Weight and fixing check before the lift
- Protection of the glass edges while it is offered to the wall
- A seated, level mirror
- Removal of our packing from the room
- We do not cut glass or polish edges.
- We do not install a mirror onto bare plasterboard that cannot take the load.
- We do not remove a bonded mirror that would destroy the wall unless that has been quoted as a separate strip-out.
The visit
- Check the fixing points on the mirror
- Confirm the wall
- Lift with two people when the glass needs it
- Tighten, level, and check the reflection line
How the quote is built
The quote is based on the glass size, the wall, and how many people must lift it. A small framed mirror and a full-height gym mirror are not the same visit.

- Whether old adhesive has to be cut back first
When people book, and how to prepare
People book when a mirror has pulled a plasterboard plug, a new bathroom mirror has no safe fixing, or a heavy gilt frame cannot sit on a single hook.
Leave a clear path from the door to the wall. If the mirror is still crated, leave the crate closed until we arrive.
Clean with a glass cleaner on a cloth, not a flooded spray into the edge of a frameless mirror. Tell us if a bracket ever feels loose.
Questions on this service
Do you install over tiles?
Yes, when the tile is stuck to a wall that can hold the mirror. The fixing goes through the tile into that wall, not into the glaze alone.
Will you hang a mirror on a stud wall?
Only with anchors or timber specified for the weight. If the sheet cannot take it, we say so before we drill.
How is mirror installation priced?
The quote uses the glass size, the wall, and how many people must lift it. A small framed mirror is not priced like a full-height gym mirror.
Can a mirror be hung the same day?
Only when the job is straightforward and the diary still has room. It is still quoted from the piece and the wall before we come.
